Any tips for finding decent parking?

this is like asking for study spots, I gave up some of mine and it seems like there are people camped out at them a lot more than earlier this year

Get there before 8AM
One of the perks of working at USF at the downside of being tired.
Legitimately, I used the Y lots a lot and just biked/boarded. There are almost always spots

The lot off of 50th Always has spots if you're willing to walk/skateboard, you can also save some money by buying the cheap pass

The Sun Dome/Yuengling Center has good spots at 9 AM. I've seen it full many times by 11 AM though.

The Beard garage usually has spots. You might be driving around in circles, but they're there.

I always find parking at Crescent Hill before 11AM

Yeah but scheduling an 8 AM class means I'm not showing up to that class.

Get a job over at USF Connect, and they give you free parking even if you just intern part time. May not be an option for everyone but worth looking in to.

I used to park at Avalon Heights and ride my longboard cuz most my classes were on the Health side of campus. Saved me so much time and having to own a parking permit for campus. I know they moved the visitors spots inside the gate, but I'm sure its open for morning classes and its not that much further.

The Parking people aren't that bad, for example if you are an employee and you make less than $25,000 a year they give you three dollars off the price of your annual parking pass. That is a .007% discount, very generous.

So if you make starvation wages at USF they give you enough of a discount to get two tacos at Taco Bell.

Why don't we pressure the school to fund better public transportation for students who live less than a mile from school, therefore cutting what i imagine is a large percentage of parking demand. I mean its not that complicated of a problem, seriously, and the answer is never in a million years more parking spots or lots.

Park in the Y spots and take the bull runner in. Those lots are SPARSE like nobody uses them because they all rush to the library parking & sun dome parking. Save yourself the hustle. also try beard parking garage

Park out behind the library and wait for students to walk to their car, then offer them a ride to their car in exchange for their spot.
Also, check out the BSN schedule or other buildings in that area. Tons of 8am (or whatever time) classes are all the same length and end at the same time. Get there 15 minutes before all those classes end and you can have a higher chance of seeing people walk to their cars.
